The former chief designer at Morgan, has formed his own design consultancy, Matthew Humphries Design, in a bid to branch out into the worlds of bespoke cars and product design. Humphries will continue his relationship with Morgan in a partnership that will see the newly formed company help to develop future models for the independent British sports car manufacturer. The 28-year-old Coventry University graduate believes he can begin moving into the growing market for integrating automotive design elements into product design – such as furniture – and particularly British-themed products.

A photo released by Audi with the announcement that Wolfgang Egger is the new Head of Audi Brand Design seems to show the 2013 Audi TT. It’s not all that unusual for a picture revealed by a car maker to have a hidden Easter Egg; something that’s only there if you look hard. And the guys over at Audi News Blog think they may have found a hidden gem in a photo Audi has released of Wolfgang Egger – the new 2013 Audi TT lurking in the background.
The Jaguar F-Type Project 7 joins the first D-Type at Le Mans this weekend
The Jaguar F-Type Project 7 got its reveal at the Goodwood Festival of Speed last weekend as a D-Type inspired, short-run F-Type with 567 bhp and 502lb/ft of torque. It was joined by Land Rover’s first Special Operations car – albeit a prototype version with red and black swirly camouflage – the Range Rover Sport SVR, which gleefully took to the hillclimb to demonstrate the incongruity of a big SUV acting like a hot hatch and sounding like a muscle car on steroids. But what was a little odd is that the RRS SVR happily strutted its stuff, even though it’s only a prototype, but the F-Type Project 7 didn’t turn a wheel in anger.
